- IPad’s Early Adopters Are Gazing at the Ads — for Now
After launching the iPad, Steve Jobs introduced during the last Keynote its new advertising platform: iAd. Innovating product and service, this could radically change the way to advertise on mobile devices. According to AdAge.com, the first results are really promising. « Pointroll says interaction times for ads on the iPad are averaging about 30 seconds. Click-through rates have been between 0.9% and 1.5%, six times the benchmark for click-to-expand ads on the web. »
Those results are more than likely due to the product’s novelty. iPad-users would be so curious that even advertising would be a particular attraction. The iPad would also incorporate new uses in the world of advertising, such as the use of the accelerometer or geolocation.
